Resistor Transistor Logic

If we get rid of the diodes and use transistors to combine and shape the digital signals, we can overcome the limititions of purely passive circuits. One immediate benefit is that the transistor will invert the sense of the logic signal, thus performing the NOT function that is not available with Diode Logic.
